Responding to charges by Harvard law professor Alan M. Dershowitz (b. 1938) that she "misuses social-science data and abuses methodology to achieve her political ends." Dershowitz was among the faculty members voting not to offer MacKinnon a tenured professorship at Harvard Law School, which she was later denied.
