Fidel Castro (b. 1926), Cuban revolutionary, premier. La Historia Me Absolver (pamphlet) (1953).

Castro used the words during his trial in 1953, referring to his unsuccessful assault on the Moncada barracks. Though sentenced to fifteen years' imprisonment, he was released under an amnesty within a year and returned from exile in 1958 to oust the Batista régime and assume power.
