Charlie Chaplin (1889–1977), British actor, screenwriter, director. Calvero's Partner (Buster Keaton), Limelight, wry remark to Calvero (Charles Chaplin) before the two perform on-stage together (1952).

This was the only time these two great comedians of the silent film era appeared together on-screen and the remark is ironic and self-parodying. Reportedly, Keaton was much funnier than Chaplin in their comedy music scene together and consequently a jealous Chaplin cut most of Keaton's material out of the final version of Limelight.
