Sydney Biddle Barrows (b. 1952), ex-"madam." As quoted in Newsweek magazine, p. 33 (November 21, 1994).
Barrows, once the proprietress of a "high-class" prostitution service, was known as the "Mayflower Madam" because of her wealthy, distinguished, "old" family background. She was commenting on being hired as a cable-TV commentator on the trial of Heidi Fleiss, who had allegedly supplied high-priced prostitutes to Hollywood personalities.
