Judith Malina (b. 1926), U.S. actor and stage producer. As quoted in Actors on Acting, rev. ed., part 13, by Toby Cole and Helen Krich (1970).
With her husband, Julian Beck, Malina founded and developed the Living Theatre, which attempted to break down the separation between performer and spectator, inviting intense interaction. Their theater grew increasingly improvisational, confrontational, chaotic, and daring.
