Huddie "Leadbelly" Ledbetter (1889–1949), U.S. blues musician. "Bourgeois Blue" (song).

The song was written in collaboration with musicologist Alan Lomax, who had recorded Leadbelly in Louisiana State Prison in 1933 and 1934, and helped to obtain his pardon from there.
